Jeremy is preceded in death by his father Randy Williams.
Jeremy was born in Ames, IA April 14, 1979. He grew up in Overland Park, KS attending Shawnee Mission schools and graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School. After graduating Jeremy worked at Xerox Corporation where he greatly excelled. He advanced to fork lift driver with Arm & Hammer, and furthered his career at Frontier Bag. He then elevated to machinist at Hayes Tool and Plastics prior to his illness.
Jeremy was a member of Overland Park First Assembly of God Church from the age of 14, along with his family. As he grew into a faithful servant of the Lord he preached at nursing homes, officiated at funerals, spoke at various meetings, and facilitated many bible study classes. He fervently studied the word of God and was used by God as a vessel to lead many people to salvation.
Jeremy’s hobbies were music and writing; his most recent hobby was doing standup comedy (just for fun). Writing was not just Jeremy’s hobby, it was his passion. He started writing at a very young age and through the years has written hundreds of songs, poetry, and short stories, winning a blue ribbon from the R&D Forum along with other honors. He even wrote one 10 chapter unpublished book.
Jeremy loved his kids unconditionally and was so very proud of all five of them. He stated not too long ago, “I’m in Kansas City; I will always be in Kansas City. I will never move away from here. My kids know EXACTLY where I am. They know how to get ahold of me, and I will not leave this city….I will provide for them the best that I can.” Jeremy was particularly proud of his 21 year old son Mason who he believed in and supported wholeheartedly his career of writing, singing, and performing in the rap music business. Jeremy said of his kids, “I love them all. I love all my kids crazily.” Jeremy’s kids were the light of his life.
Our hearts go out to you, friends. Sending our love.
Kay, JT & Family, I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss. Jeremy was a wonderful friend with a compassionate heart.
Just saw this. Mary and I remember when Jeremy was born. Our Condolances to Kay and family.
Jeremy was my best friend since I was about 16.
Jeremy was very likely the best man I ever have known. I realize that sounds like a platitude, but I assure you I know the difference and it isn’t.
