To the family of Uncle “Dude”;
My most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. My Mom is the last sibling of Momtin and Poptin still living now. She turned 90 on December 4, 2017 and is still in pretty good health. She even still drives, every now and then.
I have very fond memories of visiting you guys when yous lived in Kansas City.
Fondly,
George Langenheim
We’ve all lost a great person. We are all better, Uncle Dude, for having known you and loved you. My dad, Aunt Betty, and Uncle Joe were all classmates at Northeast High at its very beginning. I remember the fun times our two families had when we were all living in Lincoln; I must have been 10 back then.
God keep you, Uncle Dude. And God bless your wonderful family; I offer to you all my sincerest condolence.
Jim Laub
I am so sorry to hear of Uncle “Dude” passing. I know that he leaves a wonderful legacy in his children and grandchildren. Only knowing him a little, I thought that he was the most handsomest man ever, and could have been a movie star or a model. To the Laub family, my condolences.
Sincerely,
Marcia (Forst)(Laub) Citta Fola’s 3rd daughter
Very sad to hear about Uncle Joe Laub “Dude”… He, Betty and the cousins visited us in Cheyenne when I was 14 years old. That was the first time that I met any cousins on the Laub side of the clan, with the Laub name. When I was working on the Laub family cousins list, I talked with him a lot and he filled me in on quite a few of the peeps. Anyway, Debra, Carla, Joe, and Danny I will miss him!
Your cousin

Even though I was a California relative, I will remember my family’s visit in the spring of 1969 to see your family in KC. Betty kept my son Randy entertained with her stackable curlers. Dude and Betty will be missed. Best to the family.
Love,
Carol Sue (Forst) Verhoef
Dude and Betty were long-time friends from their days in Lincoln to their time in AZ. Have thought of Dude often since hearing of Betty’s passing, knowing how well she cared for him, and how much she would be missed. They were a delightful pair, and will be remembered with a smile. Marian Slaughter
Rest In Peace Uncle Dude!
My sincere condolences to the family.
My visits with dude were very few, a fond memory is when we visited over Christmas one year in MO, I bet 50 Year’s ago!
I’m the Son of Thea Laub/Shield.
