He was the best of dads. He really modeled the behavior of kindness, honesty, fair play, and hard work. He cared selflessly for his family. Dad respected the decisions and lifestyles of his children without being pushy or giving in to endless lecturing. (I wish more of that rubbed off on me!) I just can’t think of adequate words to say what he meant to me, and how much I love him and miss him.

Uncle John helped my parents a lot and fixed things in their house after they moved here. He also fixed a lot of things in Aunt Esther’s house. He helped me get to know the area when I moved here. He gave us a lot of redbud trees from his yard in the Red Bridge area. We will miss him.
