John Rhodes

John Charles Rhodes, a man of diverse passions, left us on December 4, 2023, at the age of 76. John was born on October 18, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas, to Ernest and Eunice Rhodes. He graduated from Topeka High School (Topeka, KS). He retired after many years as a city bus driver in Lincoln, NE. His hands were always busy – whether he was tinkering with gadgets, inventing something new, or immersed in his computer projects. His love for fishing took him to peaceful waters, where he found solace and connection with nature. John’s ingenuity, curiosity, and love for the outdoors defined him. John was preceded in death by his parents, sister Dorthea Jean, and brother Frank. He is survived by his sisters Sharon (Bob) Smith of Topeka, Kansas, and Kathleen (Emmett) Stovall of Lawrence, Kansas, as well as many nieces and nephews. No services are planned.
