Judith Esther (Palm) Gates, 79, of Smithville, MO passed away peacefully in her home. Judith was born January 6, 1943, in Boone, Iowa, and returned to her heavenly father on April 8, 2022. Judy spent most of her career as a secretary for various companies. Judy was a very tender woman, mother, and grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely. Judy loved to sew and attend church.
Judy is preceded in death by her father and mother, Clarence and Alice Palm, and her brother, Gerald Palm.
She is survived by her daughter Renee Harris; son Gregory Gates and wife April; grandchildren, Zacharia, Jacob, Shadd, Ryan, Carmen, Frankie, Gabriel, Sebastian, and Gillian; great-grandchildren Cole, Perrin, and Finn; bonus daughter Cheryl Gates and her soul sister Tess D’Arco.
At Judy’s request, there will be no services as she would want everyone to celebrate with laughter instead of tears.
