Kathleen Hopkins, 85, of Independence MO passed away June 9th, 2021 at home.
Visitation will be held June 19th 2021 from 10 to 11 am at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society in Raytown Mo. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Saturday June 19th 2021 at Glenridge Cemetery in Liberty Mo.
Kathleen was born on October 8th 1935 in Schubert Nebraska. Kathleen was a customer service manager for Walmart for 15 years when she retired in 1992.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lucille Cooney; her husband, Robert E Hanks Sr; her children, Donald J Hanks, Robert E Hanks Jr, Brenda J Hanks, and Jeffery D Hanks.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Hopkins; daughter, Sherie Johnson; daughter in law, Theresa Hanks; grandchildren, Kathy Patton, Russell Hanks, Crystal Shore, Angela Foster, Jodi Foster, Shelly Butcher, John Campbell, Misty Lawson, Brandy Brownlee, Bryan Benge, and Nick Hanks; 23 great grandkids; and 19 great great grandkids.
She was full of spunk. A wonderful delicious cook. Could talk without breathing (jk). She will be missed and remembered by many.
I was Kathy’s daughter I law for 6 years. I loved her and Pop. They always loved me and was good to me. Lots of fond memories of those years.
One of my favorite patients it was my pleasure to have been there with her until she departed into her next life. She surely will be missed. I loved our visit with our talks and how she lite up when she talked about her grand daughters grand son she looked forward to the babies visit.
