Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute
On Monday June 15th, 2020 Kathy (Sievers) Fetterolf, loving wife and mother of two children passed away at the age of 64.
Kathy was born on March 18th, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri to Charlie and Lola (Johnson) Sievers. She worked in various positions within law enforcement for over 10 years before embracing her role as a stay-at-home wife and mother. She married Dirk Fetterolf on July 15th, 1983. They raised a son and a daughter, Austin and Audrey.
Kathy was passionate about people and animals alike. She took many under her wing (people, countless pups, cats/kittens, and even an injured hawk and owl) and showed an enormous amount of love and care in her lifetime. Kathy was the life of the party, always lighting up the room with her infectious joy and her signature dance moves. More than anything else, she devoted endless time, energy, and love into her family while maintaining an inviting home, homeschooling her kids, and being a massive support to her friends and mentees.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father Charlie, and mother Lola. She is survived by her husband Dirk, her two children Austin and Audrey, her brother and sister Gary and Diane, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. A memorial celebration may be held closer to the end of the summer, details TBA. in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wayside Waifs in Grandview, Missouri.
Dirk, I’m so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of Kathy when she was a Lenexa Officer. You are a very good friend and I mourn with you. God bless you and your family. All our love, Ron and Elaine Bell
Dear Dirk, Austin, and Aubrey;
It was such tragic news to hear of Kathy’s passing. She was such a comfort to me during a very difficult time years ago. Her smile and huge loving heart will always be remembered. I know she is at peace in the arms of Jesus, and we can all look forward to seeing her again. May God’s peace bring you comfort and healing.

Dirk, Austin and Audrey,
What courage and faith Kathy showed during her battle with her illness. And Dirk, you were the truly loving and sacrificial husband that all of us husbands should emulate. Words cannot express my sadness for your loss. Even my wife, Diane, though she never met Kathy, felt a loss as well as I shared with her about Kathy’s condition and faith.
When I recite the 23rd Psalm, I always remember this: “Yea, though I walk THROUGH the valley of the shadow of death…”. Her life did not end; rather, she passed through her earthly phase into eternal bliss. Kathy did not embark on her journey to Glory alone. Her husband and children were right beside her, and so was her Savior. And at the end, He welcomed her home. It was not an ending…rather, a beginning.
May Christ’s peace that truly surpasses all understanding comfort you now and always…

Dirk,
Thank you for sharing Kathy with the admin office crew at MED-ACT. I appreciated her conversations and infectious personality at the many events that we attended together. She made some of the best cookies to spoil us, even when she wasn’t feeling her best. She fought a good fight, her journey has ended but the memories she left are for a lifetime. My prayers are with you and Austin and Audrey.
I love you dear brother. Praying for you all. ??

Dirk, Audrey and Austin, our hearts are heavy with this news. Memories and experiences will fill our consciousness as we reflect on Kathy’s life and all the joy she has brought to all who know and love her. Looking back on times with Spunky and the many other furry companions that you and Kathy brought into your lives, we will rejoice in those memories. Debbie and I hold you and your entire family in our prayers. Knowing of your strong faith in Christ, it so reminds us that there is no place we can go where God is not. May you all find solace and peace knowing that God’s time is not our time, nor his ways our ways, and that we will surely be together, even now, and beyond this mortal life.
Father of all, we pray to you for Grace and for all those whom we love but see no longer. Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. May Kathy and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Dirk,I still treasure the breakfast at Ronnie’s. She is preparing her new home for when you all will meet again. May Jesus hold her and you until that day.

Dirk, Austin and Audrey I’m so sorry for the passing of Mom. Kathy took me under her wing when I was 12 years old. She guided me through a horrible time in my Life and allowed me to spread my wings after High School. Her elation when she found out I had accepted Christ into my Life. I can still hear her jubilant voice. I was so Blessed to have two Mom’s. I continue to Pray for all of you. I have no doubt that Kathy has entered her next assignment from God as she awaits her loving husband. I’m enjoying the pictures of Kathy. My deepest condolences for y’all.
Love you all
