Kelly Thuy Nguyen

Kelly Thuy Nguyen, 57, of Raytown, MO passed  on September 29, 2016 at Truman Medical Center.  Funeral/memorial services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, October 7, 2016 at Ascension Lutheran Church, Kansas City, MO. Ms. Kelly Nguyen was born on Oct 21, 1958, in Saigon Vietnam.

Kelly came to the United States with her parents and siblings in 1975.  The family was sponsored by the Lutheran Ascension Church of Kansas City, Missouri.  Kelly and her family became the member of the Ascension Lutheran Church since then.

Kelly was a hair stylist and she loved her profession.  Her hobbies were crochet and making jewelries.  She was a loving, forgiving, and giving person.  She gave small gifts that she could afford to show her caring.  She was easily forgive those around her.  Kelly was quick to laugh and talkative.  She made us feel comfort and welcome.  We love Kelly and will always keep her in our heart.

Footprints in the Sand

Lord, You said that once

I decided to follow You,

we would walk side by side through life;

but when I needed You most,

I saw only one set of footprints in the sand.

The Lord replied, “I love you and would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering,

when you see only one set of footprints,

it was then that I carried you.”

Survivors include her parents, Phuong Nguyen & An Hoang, brother Chung Nguyen and sister Tuyet Nguyen – living in Kansas City, MO, brother Thanh Nguyen, and sister-in-law Tiffany Hoang, and nephew Andrew Nguyen  – living in San Jose, CA.
