Kenneth Goldsberry

Kenneth “Kenny” Goldsberry, son of Albert and Ila Stamper Goldsberry, was born December 18, 1950, in Linn Creek, Missouri.  He went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, in the care of Saint Mary’s Health Systems, in Jefferson City, Missouri at the age of 57 years, 1 month, and 26 days.

 

Kenny is survived by two brothers:  James and wife, Evelyn, of Climax Spring, MO; Wilbert and wife, Chris, of Linn Creek, MO; one sister:  Bonnie Hollis and long-time companion, Chuck, of Sunrise Beach, MO; several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings:  Nile, Keith, Lucielle, Harley (Birdie), Arlies (Hoss), Laverne, Joe, and George. 

 

During the last ten years of his life, Kenny made his home at Victoria Estates in Linn, Missouri, where he made life-long friends and enjoyed visits from familiar faces of home. 

 

Kenny made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Linn Creek Baptist Church.

 

He loved being outdoors, where his favorite activity was fishing.  Kenny was known for being quite the pool shark, but his true enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends. 

 

Kenny was a loving son, brother, and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

 

A memorial service will be held at three o’clock on Sunday, February 17, 2008, at Linn Creek Baptist Church in Linn Creek, Missouri with Reverend Rick Ginnings officiating.

    Kenny was my uncle, and I grew up in Linn Creek hunting and fishing with him. I did not know of his death until now. I am sorry and sad for his passing. God bless and hold you Uncle Kenny.
