Kenny Sharp Thomas

Kenny Sharp Thomas, 78, passed away peacefully at home on March 19, 2025. He is survived by his wife Eileen “Muffin” Thomas; his sons Kelly and Beau; his daughter-in-law Mandy; his grandchildren Reid and Anna; and his sister Margie.

Kenny built a successful career in the automobile industry, beginning in the 1970s with Hull-Dobbs in Memphis, TN. In 1980, he joined Southeast Toyota, where he worked until 1994. That same year, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of owning a dealership, a venture that brought him immense pride and joy.

Even in retirement, Kenny remained a daily presence at the dealership—not just for his love of the business, but because he cherished the time spent with his sons and grandson. Beyond his career, Kenny was an avid sports fan who rarely missed a Kansas City Chiefs or KU
basketball game. He found great joy in attending sporting events and supporting the teams he loved.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at Shadow Glen Country Club from 6꞉00 to 8꞉00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8th.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Safehome, a cause Kenny supported for many years.

Condolences to Kelly and Beau and the rest of Kenny’s family. He was a “True Gentleman “.
Kenny loved his extended family the employees of Kenny Thomas’s Olathe Toyota. I have lost count on the number of cars I have purchased from the dealership. Kenny was a masterful businessman. He also treated his customers like family.

I will miss my conversations with him. God Bless you Kenny. Eternal rest my friend.
