Larry Gene Jack, age 83 of Raytown, Missouri passed away on January 11, 2024 into the loving arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ. There he was reunited with his wife, Billie Jack who preceded him in death. Larry is survived by his children Mark Jack, Jennifer Lennan and Brian and Stephanie (daughter-in-law) Jack, his grandkids Levi Jack, Cami Jack, Dylan Jack, Shelby Jack and Ethan Lennan as well as many extended family members.
Larry lived most of his life in Raytown, Missouri and retired from General Motors in 1988 after having spent 30 years as a lineman and then a trainer. Family always came first for Larry, and he devoted much of his time to his kids and grandkids. He was especially known for being even-tempered, loving and making delicious potato soup. Larry’s kids and grandkids were the light and joy of his life, and he took great pride in them. Larry had a deep love for all his extended family and was especially close to his nephews, Ben Caylor, Denny Caylor, Bob Myers and Phil Myers. Larry also had a love of dogs, and they were always a part of his life, including his 5 granddogs.
Larry enjoyed spending time in nature, hunting, fishing, and cooking out. He built a home in Hickory County on several acres and spent many hunting seasons with family and friends there creating cherished memories. It was a place of peace, comfort, and refuge for him. Larry left a legacy of love and will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Larry was well loved by all his family and friends! We will greatly miss him! This is not goodbye for we will see you and Billie again!
