Laura Brockert

Laura Brockert of Columbia passed away on Sept. 6, 2013.  Per Laura’s wishes, no services will be held.

Laura leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Kevin Brockert and his children, Stephanie Tinker, Payne Brockert and Joey Brockert.
Laura loved being their “Mom”.  Laura was a very beautiful person who will be missed by her family, her parents, Mary M. and Jack Endicott, and all her many dear friends.

Two of Laura’s favorite things were books and her pets.  She started reading at an early age and got hooked on books after reading “Cinderella Went to the Ball.”  She opened her heart to many animals who needed a home.  They brought her much joy.

Laura remained a cheerful and generous soul in spite of dealing with serious health issues most of her short life.  The Gift of Sight was her last gift.  She will rest in peace.

Memorials can be made to your local animal shelter or to your favorite charity .

My thoughts are with your family as losing you so soon has to be one of the most difficult things they have had to experience in this lifetime. I was honored to have grown up with you as my neighbor and friend. I still remember your dear miniature schnauzer that was part of you, Mary and Jack’s family so many moons ago. And how you would carry around my cats whenever you visited me at my home. They loved you as much as you loved them. You are a very special person and I will remember your spirit forever.

    “Dear Mr. Vernon,
We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it is we did wrong. But we think your crazy for making us write a paper telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us, in the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. What we found ouf is each one of us is a brain, an athlete, a princess, a basket case and a criminal. Does that answer your question?

    Sincerely, THE BREAKFAST CLUB”

I will always love you Laura and All in All, its just another brick in the wall!!!!

To Laura’s wonderful, loving mom and dad: Yes, your “Lauraface”, Laura-beautiful-face, Laura-beautiful inside and out, WILL always live in your hearts. Sharing with ALL who loved Laura, the profound insight of Winnie the Pooh:
“If there ever comes a day,
    When we can’t be together,
    Keep me in your heart,
    I’ll stay there forever.”

Laura and I had a very special connection and had many things in common. We gave each other support and strength through the years. She could pick me up just with her tone of voice. I will always have a huge place for my beautiful niece, LauraFace, in my heart. She is My Hero, not the other way around.
