Leonard Richards, age 68, of Sugar Creek, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, of natural causes. He was born on January 7, 1957, in Independence, Missouri.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Joyce Richards, and his wife, Cherryl Richards. He is survived by his brother, Michael Richards; nephew, Houston Richards; stepchildren, Chris DeVoid, Charlie DeVoid, and Denelle Martinez; as well as many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him dearly.
A funeral service will be held on November 21, 2025, at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society in Blue Springs, Missouri, beginning at 1:00 PM.
A Celebration of Life visitation will take place on November 29, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 802 NW Vesper St, Blue Springs, MO 64015
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local food pantry in Leonard’s honor.
