Leta Fay Oswalt

Leta Fay Oswalt, 74, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away December 12, 2017 at North Kansas City Hospital. Mrs. Oswalt was born December 30, 1942.

Leta enjoyed many things during her life. She liked piecing together puzzles and watching T.V. Her favorite things to watch were “Friends” and Chiefs football. She loved chocolate and her favorite drink was Coca-Cola. In her younger days she could be found hunting and fishing for fun. She loved loved visiting her family farm at Lake of the Ozarks as well. Of all the things she enjoyed she loved spending time with her grandchildren the most. She always wanted her home to be a safe place for them to come. They were her pride and joy. Leta was first married to Jackie P. Oswalt. She was later married to Richard Burns who passed away December 10, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Burns and brother Alfred Simpson.

Survivors include her children; Pauline Crowley and husband Lloyd Fisher, Lori (Charles) Puckett, and Vicki (Mike) Payne, grandchildren; Jesse (Brooke) Cardiff, Cory Burns, Joshua (Brianna) Oswalt, Michael (Jessica) Payne, Triston Puckett, and Caleb Payne, great grandchildren; Alizabeth and Jaxson Oswalt and Johnathon Parsons, sister Wauneta Winfrey, and nieces and nephews; Donny Winfrey, Kathy Winfrey, Michael Simpson, Laura Simpson, and Vacha Campbell.
