Lila R. Bodman

Lila R. Bodman was born in Bronx, NY on September 24, 1928. As a child her family moved to Valhalla NY where she resided for 60 years before moving to Palm Coast FL in 1997. She graduated from White Plains HS in 1946. Lila worked and retired as a manager at IBM. One of her proudest accomplishments was graduating in 1992 at the age of 63 with a bachelor degree of Science from Iona College. Lila loved to play golf and was a Field Marshall at the Buick Classic golf tournament. It’s here where she introduced her love of golf to her two grandsons. Lila also loved living in Florida and spending her summers in the Adirondacks with her family and lake friends. Lila was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, Mother-in-law, and friend. Lila most enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends to share a good laugh.

Lila is Preceded in death by her parents Ragnar Gustafson and Nancy Nelson Gustafson, Son John Bodman, Sister Doris Bach and her best friend and Sister-in-Law Alice Orneck.
She is survived by her son Alan (Rhonda) Bodman, Tina (Jose) Torres. Grandchildren Jonathan (Taryn) Torres, Jason (Megan) Torres and Step Grandson Jason Chervenak.
Services will be held in Valhalla, NY at a later date.

For their amazing care the family suggest memorial contributions be sent to Kansas City Hospice.
