Lynne Anne O’Bara

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Lynne Anne O’Bara on June 15, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 29th, from 4-6 PM at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, Celebration of Life Center, 802 NW Vesper St, Blue Springs, MO 64015.

Lynne was a mother of four children: three daughters and one son, who escaped inheriting her many skills—arts & crafts, sewing, music, singing, and writing. She dedicated her life to seamstress work and shared the last thirty-four years with her closest friend, Linda Marker, who was always by her side. For the past eleven years, she had the joy of working alongside her eldest daughter at Stitchin’ Post.

Known for her kindness and willingness to help anyone—be it family, friend, foe, or stranger—Lynne had a unique talent for bringing joy with her expressive faces and funny voices that never failed to make us all giggle. It was an honor to know her, and her absence leaves a crushing void in our lives.

Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, her younger brother Lee, her first husband, and her son Willie. She is survived by her three daughters, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She will be deeply missed. Love you, Mom!
