Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute
Marcy Strube, 95, of Columbia Missouri, went to meet Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on January 6, 2024. Her family was by her side at the time of her passing. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on January 14, 2024 from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the family home.
Marcy was born on December 20, 1928 in Hannibal Missouri to the late John and Vie Conyers. She was married to Roy E. Strube on October 19, 1947 in Hannibal Missouri. She was a homemaker and a stay at home mother to her two sons and one daughter. She worked as the secretary at A.D. Stowell Elementary when her children were old enough to attend. Throughout her life, she never passed up an opportunity to learn a new craft, talent or read a new book. She spent her time reading, sewing, quilting and making many crafts that included spinning, needle point, painting and making cards to give as gifts to her family and friends. If she was not crafting, she enjoyed gardening and tending to her flower beds. She loved to spend time with her family and took every opportunity to engage others by using her God given gift to bring encouragement and joy to those around her.
She is survived by her daughter Christy (Sonny), her son Lynn (Penny), her sister Pauline King, daughter in-law Susan Strube, and her grandchildren, great grandchildren and their families. She is preceded in death by her parents, oldest son and her husband.
Marcy loved the Lord and was often found volunteering at church, going on trips and attending bible studies. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. She passed on a great legacy to her family and friends and her greatest desire was for all to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Marcy was such a wonderful, kind, loving lady, and she will be missed greatly by us, Calvin and Tina.
I will miss Marcy very much. I have loved her very much all of my life. What a wonderful woman, wise and kind. I look forward to seeing her again before too much longer. In the meantime I am sure she will love being with Roy and Randy. I love you Aunt Marcy, and will miss you very much until I see you again in the world to come.
What a wonderful mother you had! May the beautiful memories comfort you in your loss.
She was a dear friend and an inspiration to everyone who met her She shared her love for Jesus with everyone She is loved and missed
Sorry for the loss of your Mother/Grandma. Met her a few times and she was so pleasant.
Marcy was a delight and I was glad to know her through her granddaughter in law. Spent many times with her fun and fellowship. She was especially fond of my mother‘s paintings so we had so much in common with that. She was a joy to her family, and all that knew her, and left a beautiful legacy in her love for the Lord.
Sorry for your loss. Marcy was such a joy to be around. Our loss heaven’s gain. Prayers for her family and friends.
Marcy was a beam of light! I enjoyed spending time with her and learning life from her! I treasure the times we were able to spend together here on earth and look forward to spending eternity with her. Christy, thank you for sharing your Mom with me!
My heart goes out to the family and friends. Marcy was always glad to see me, and that smile and laughter were contagious!
May God’s comfort be with you through the coming minutes, hours, days, and years. May you hold fast to all the great memories??
Christy, Sonny, Ryan, Joni and sons, May God comfort you as you look to Him for strength and comfort during this time of loss.

I met Marcy through Bible study at Nashville Baptist Church Immediately we were on a hugging basis. I enjoyed her insights into our discussions and really appreciated her having me in her home to share her beautiful quilts. She was truly a lady who loved the Lord. Doris
Marcy was a wonderful lady. I remember her fondly at Calvary Baptist Church. She was always so sweet and sassy. She is in heaven with Roy and her son now. Rest in Peace Marcy.
