Marcia Lee Gathright was born February 21, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri to James D. and Mary C. Gathright.
Marcia graduated from Soldan High School in 1975 and moved to Kansas City to attend college to study legal administration. For the ensuring 42 years Marcia worked in legal administration most recently at McDowell, Rice,Smith, and Buchanan, P.C. She was active in both her national and local professional organization – KCLSA (Kansas City Legal Secretary Association) and NALS (National Association of Legal Professionals). Marcia was also an active, involved member of her church, Abundant Life in Overland Park, Kansas. Her hobbies included bowling, reading, sewing, knitting, and crocheting.
Marcia leaves to cherish her memory her 2 sisters Patti L. Gathright and Shirleen Lacy, brother-in-law Michael T. Lacy, Sr., nieces and nephews Lawanda Lacy, Melinda Lacy, Michael T. Lacy, Jr., Sherri (James) Henderson, and Christina Lacy, along with other relatives and many friends.
