Margaret “Marge” Oakley

Marge Oakley, 86, Kansas City, MO, passed away July 18, 2013 at Blue River Care Center, in Kansas City. A memorial gathering will be held from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Heartland Cremation, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64133. Marge was born October 7, 1926 in Cardiff, South Wales to Jack and Ann May Stiff.  Marge was a member of the Daughters of the British Empire (DBE) and a founding member of the Friendship Club. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, travel, the occasional trip to the casino, and a good cup of tea.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter Lynn Hoffmann.  Marge is survived by her husband of 62 years, Fred Oakley, son and daughter-in-law Gary and Joni Oakley, 5 grandchildren: Brian (Kathie) Hoffmann, David Oakley, Jill Hoffmann, and Michael Oakley, and 2 brothers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are asked to Kansas City Hospice, 9221 Ward Parkway, Ste. 100, Kansas City, MO 64114.
