Marilyn (Forslund) Heath
June 23, 1930 – April 4, 2022

Marilyn was born June 23, 1930 in Clay Center, Kansas, and she grew up on the farm. She graduated from Randolph Rural High School in 1948. Marilyn lived in Topeka, Kansas with her family and worked as executive-secretary for the president of Kansas Power & Light. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1963 working for a medical supply company In North Kansas City, Missouri. Marilyn married James Heath in 1978 and they lived happily together until James’ death on November 20, 2020.

Marilyn loved gardening, visiting the Lake of the Ozarks, birdwatching and spending time with her family. She is fondly remembered for making the best banana oatmeal cookies. Marilyn spent her retirement years with her family helping to raise her great-grandson.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband James Heath, her parents, Eddie and Elva (Lindstrom) Forslund, two brothers, Mervin Forslund and Harlan Forslund.

Marilyn leaves a daughter, Marlene Walker, of Kansas City, Missouri, a granddaughter, Marissa Walker and great-grandson Brennen Knabe of Kansas City Missouri, sister-in-law Faye Forslund of Kansas City, Missouri and family and stepson Mike Heath and family, of Smithville, Missouri.

Per Marilyn’s request, no funeral service will be held. A final good-bye was held for her immediate family.
