Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute
Mary Bock, 92, of Fulton entered into eternal rest, Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Fulton Manor Care Center. In person funeral services are private with burial to occur in Montgomery City Cemetery. View her funeral online at https://www.facebook.com/events/854685375025000.
Mary was born in Montgomery City, MO and met her very dedicated and loving husband of over 71 years, Howard Bock, in the middle of the Hermann bridge. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping at Graham Cave State Park and watching wildlife, especially birds and deer. In her later years, she and Howard could be found going on nightly drives to see if they could spot deer around Fulton.
Mary was a homemaker who raised two children to value family, close friends and nature. Mary loved flowers and always had many varieties in and around her house. She and Howard would often host small get-togethers where there would be lots of card playing, snacking and, most of all, laughter. She was also a good cook that was known for her fried chicken, potato salad and baked goods.
Mary is survived by her two children Cyril (Kathy Miller) Bock of Espanola, NM and Fran (Jeff) Petty of Jefferson City, her brother Denny (Margaret) Gibson of O’Fallon and a sister-in-law LaVerne Bernat of New Florence and a sister-in-law Irma Bock of Hermann. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and her ‘surrogate’ grand kids: Jaime, Faith, Mia, Ben, Isla, Joel and two grand-dogs, Heidi and Hannah.
Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fulton.
In lieu of flowers that family has requested memorials to the Disabled American Veterans (https://www.dav.org/methods-to-donate/).
