Michael J. DeHaan, 33 tragically passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in Kansas City, MO.
Celebration of life will be held for family and friends on Saturday, September 7th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Banquet Hall, Fred Arbanas Golf Course, 11100 View High Drive, Kansas City, MO.
Michael was born October 26, 1990 in Longmont, Colorado to Timothy and Tammy (Housh)DeHaan. Tammy and the kids moved to Kansas City when he was 2. He and Sydney McDonald met when Michael was 15. Michael, 22 and Sydney, had a daughter Jaylynn in 2012 which was his pride and joy.
He had touched so many lives over his short 33 years, from Colorado, across Kansas to Missouri. Michael enjoyed being outdoors working, listening to music, and his dog Thor. He even found time to help and care for his mother when in need. He graduated from Truman High School and attended ITT Tech in Kansas City.He had an infectious smile and laughter that always could light up a room. Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survivors are his Daughter, Jaylynn DeHaan (Sydney McDonald) of Kansas City MO. Mother, Tammy DeHaan of Kansas City. Brothers Storm A. Martin(Samantha Martin) and 3 children Storm Jr., Samual and Savannah. Daniel C. DeHaan (Megan DeHaan) 5 children Emery, Chelbi and Liam DeHaan of Paola, Kansas and twin boys Parker and Landon DeHaan (Kellie Noonan) of Memphis, TN. Uncles David Housh(Dawn) 3 children, Josh, Justin(Julie) and Paige of Lone Jack, MO, Clarence R. Housh III of Kansas City and Aunt Margi Beam(Housh)2 children Tristan and Jayden of FL. Not to mention many other cousins and friends. Maternal Grandparents, Clarence R Housh Jr. of Smithville, MO and Patrick G. Runions of Kansas City MO. Paternal Grandmother Jeanne DeHaan McCarthy(Bill) of Enterprise AL.
Michael was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandmother Linda J Runions (Dyer) and his Paternal Grandfather Fredrick C. DeHaan of Estes Park, CO.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Honor of Michael J. DeHaan.
I miss you so much I wish that I would have gotten to see yo once more. I know are connection was not the greatest but I wish we could’ve gotten a chance to fix that❤️
