I met Mike briefly. He was firm, fair, and always had a cheeky grin.
He was a good man. He deserves to be remembered by all who knew him.
Our love to all his family.

    Mike,
When I first started hanging out with you and Mark (around 1st grade), I would stand across the street and yell one of your names at a black box on the power line in front of your house and eventually one of you would come out.  That lasted through high school with a few years interrupted. Lots of fun and a little trouble around the water tower and the “ditch”.

Over the years I wondered if you were still alive and what part of the country you might live in.  When I finally located Mark G. from Facebook and met for lunch about a year ago, we talked about all the neighborhood  gang and I was sure that we would meet again.  Don’t know what I was waiting for except for the last 6 months while I couldn’t drive due to my retinal detachment.  Beyond that, I could have just called so we could talk.

I want to thank you for all of the things in life that you brought to us a few years younger.  You were responsible for introducing me to and sharing most of my (rock) musical influences.  Rush, Zep, BOC, Frank Marino, Steve Hilliage and of course Floyd.  You made sure the neighborhood group saw The Song Remains The Same, The Wall, Farewell to Cream, Tommy together.

I can’t quite come to terms with missing out on your last year of life and the chance to reconnect.  I still hope to catch up with Mark, get to know Monte and Mary as adults and meet your daughter Hailey.  I’ll never forget you but my image of you is from about 1982!  I hope your spirit travels far.

Thanks for being my friend and showing so many ropes.
