Nancy Louise Graham passed away November 24th, 2017. She was 88 years old. She had been a resident of Raytown, Missouri for almost 60 years.
Nancy was born November 29, 1928 in Monroe, Louisiana. She was the oldest daughter of Mary Louise Cole and Marion Sloan McKellar. Nancy married Charles (Michael) on April 7, 1951.
To know Nancy was to know someone of great wit, generosity and compassion. She touched the hearts and souls of everyone she met. An audience of readers were also graced with knowing her through her poetry, magazines, and two books. Throughout her life, she volunteered in her parish and in the school her child attended.
She was proceeded in death by; her parents; her husband; her sister, Kathleen Leonard and her niece, Colleen Myers.
Nancy leaves behind: her son, Charles “Matt” Graham; three granddaughters, Heather Gent, Melanie Simpson and Jewel Menon; six great grandchildren, Hunter, Emily, Garret, Olivia, Ashton and Hannah. Her survivors also include: three nieces, Kathy Hull, Sr. Nancy Zemcuznikov and Ellie Sharp along with fourteen great nephews and nieces.
A visitation will be held 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Monday, November 27, 2017 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 PM at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society.
i am so sorry to hear of your loss. She was a great lady.We had become great friends even in those few short years I had the opportunity to know her. I will certainly miss her. Please know you all in my prayers.
