Pamela Ann (Beitler) Kaehler

Pamela Ann (Beitler) Kaehler, 64, our loving wife, aunt, daughter, sister, and friend lost her battle with cancer on Saturday night, December 27, 2025, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.

She was born on Saturday, June 17, 1961, to Melvin and Joan Beitler in Chicago, IL.  She attended Maria High School and graduated from Gage Park High School in Chicago.

Pam met the man of her dreams, James “Jimmy” Joseph Kaehler, in 1983, and they were married on Friday, March 30, 1984, in Chicago.  In July of 1994, she and her sweetheart moved to Washington, MO.  On Saturday, November 14, 2006, both Pam and Jimmy were baptized and confirmed members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  They were sealed in the St. Louis Missouri LDS Temple for time and all eternity on Saturday, March 15, 2008.

Pam’s interests included baking, crocheting, and she loved to read.  One of her favorites was the 29-book mystery series, “The Cat Who”.  She became an accomplished jewelry maker, selling her creations at local craft fairs, etc., with her friends, Janna and Bill Knowles.  Pam was also skilled at making greeting cards.  She served in her church’s Relief Society by making greeting cards for the members’ birthdays and other events.  She also loved kitties and had at least one around her most of her life.

Family was top priority to Pam and she was very devoted and loving.  She and Jimmy became “Aunt Pam and Uncle Jimmy” to their bonus nephew, David Baudino, when he was small.  In time, David married his sweetheart, Holly, and they blessed Pam and Jimmy with Matthew, Xandar, Ivory, and Ian.  She enjoyed having them over to spend summer vacation time with her and Jimmy.  They loved taking trips with “their” kids and exploring new places.  They had planned to go to Meramec Caverns this past summer but, sadly, Pam’s health did not allow it.

Pam is survived by her devoted husband, Jimmy, and her three feline fur babies, Simba, Loralei, and Astro.  She is also survived by her sister, Michelle Torres of Chicago, IL, and her nieces and nephews, Ameriz, Gabriela, Adrianna, Jose, Melina, Victor, Melvin, Sebastian, and Rogelio, as well as her brother, Rodney Beitler of Chicago, IL, and many other nieces and nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her mother- and father-in-law, her grandparents, and seven siblings.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 904 Old Highway 63 South, Columbia, MO.  The memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the same address.

Flowers may be sent to the above address on the day of services.  Or, in lieu of flowers, please consider donations to: The American Cancer Society, or, the Missionary Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
