Paula Suzann Green

Paula Suzann Green, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, departed from this world on Monday, October 9, 2023. She was born to Victor and Frances Sowers on December 28, 1952, and her life was a testament to her enduring love, compassion, and devotion to those she held dear.

Paula now rests in eternal peace, reunited with her parents, Victor and Frances, and her beloved son, Paul Green, in the embrace of heaven. While her physical presence may be missed, her spirit lives on in the cherished memories of those whose lives she touched.

Paula is survived by her loving siblings, Cheryl, Michael, Marsha, and her devoted husband, Ron. Her legacy continues through her five sons: Nathan (Jenilee), Jeremy (Jen), Josh (Amy), Mark (Leah), and Jonathan. Paula’s joy expanded even further with the presence of her 14 adoring grandchildren, Kate, Ava, Mia, Linus, Harper, Elliot, Marshall, Logan, Lucas, Eleanor, Eila, Lucy, Genevieve, and Olivia.

Paula’s life was defined by her unwavering love for family, her passion for painting, and the simple joy she found in sharing a cup of coffee with her dearest friends. Her warmth and hospitality were extended to all who were fortunate to know her, and her home was a place of love and laughter.

To celebrate Paula’s life, her family will hold a service at Heartland Burial & Cremation in Raytown, MO, on Saturday, October 21. Visitation begins at 10am followed by the funeral at 11am.

In lieu of plants or flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Keys Are at the Cross Prison Ministry to help provide Bibles to inmates. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 18445 Raytown, MO 64133.

As we bid our final farewell to Paula Suzann Green, we remember her as a woman who radiated love and warmth to all who crossed her path. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she left behind, and the impact of her kindness will continue to touch lives for generations to come. Paula’s legacy is one of love and the belief that family and faith are the greatest treasures of all.

Our prayers are with you Ron and all the boys and their families as you cope with such a heartbreaking loss. Paula and your family touched our families lives for so many years as our boys grew together from childhood to teenagers. Paula was always opening her life and home to us as adults but especially to our boys making us all feeling welcome and cared for. I know the our boys will never forget Paula as she always welcomed them no matter how many and as parents we appreciate the care and love she showed our boys. We always so enjoyed the time we spent also as a family with Paula and Ron and the boys. The Fourth of July fireworks is still a story of family legend told again and again as a wonderful memory and passed on as the grands age and want to hear stories of family lore. We are so blessed we got to spend time in Paula’s life and with your family. There is nothing more we can say at this time but we are so sorry.

Ron and family… Paula was such a beautiful person inside and out. No words can change the pain you must be feeling right now. Time does not heal all the pain but the time between the feelings of loss and pain gets longer and longer, replaced by the happy memories you have all shared. But through this terrible time of loss and grief, our prayer is that you will rest in the LOVE you shared, the JOY Paula brought to your lives, and the PEACE our Comforter gives knowing you’ll be together again.

I will be happy to get to meet Paula in heaven one day. It was my pleasure to be in prayer for her and her loved ones during these last months of her life on earth. This is a beautiful remembrance of this beautiful woman.
