Ramey E. Beachly

Husband, father, banker, golfer and community leader–passed away of natural causes on Feb. 18, 2005, in Kansas City at age 80. Ramey is survived by his wife, Nancy, Kansas City; daughter, and sonin-law, Michelle Beachly Rodrigues, and Eddie Rodriguez, San Francisco; and daughter, Meredith Beachly, Los Angeles; sister, Mary Ellen McPherson, Denver, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Prior to retirement in 1993, Ramey spent his professional career in banking, beginning with Chemical Bank in New York in the early 1950’s, working at Security Pacific Bank in Brawley, CA, and ending as an officer at Security National Bank in Kansas City, KS, and a principle in Burch and Associates in North Kansas City, MO. He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln undergraduate school and law school. He was an avid golfer, and was active in community activities, including the Elks and Rotary Clubs. A memorial service will be held Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at 2 p.m., in the Westminster Hall at Kingswood Manor, 10000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO. The family will spread Ramey’s ashes in Estes Park, CO, later in the year. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ramey’s honor may be made to the Kingswood Manor Foundation.
