Raymond Boice

Raymond Boice, 74, Lake Winnebago, MO passed away at his home on Nov. 30, 2008. Raymond was born June 26, 1934 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a 1953 graduate of Northeast High School. He then entered the US Navy, and served from 1954-1956. After his service he returned to school, graduating in 1961 from The University of Kansas with a degree in mechanical engineering. Raymond worked for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) performing aircraft certifications for almost 33 years, retiring in Feb. of 1992. Raymond was devoted to his family and friends, he was an avid outdoorsmen, and pilot. He enjoyed sports, travel, skiing and diving. Raymond is survived by his wife of 53 years L. Jean Boice, and sons and daughter-in-laws; Brett and Michelle Boice, and their children Jackson, Austin, and Olivia; Bart and Sue Ann Boice and their children Benton and Bradley; and Brent and Dana Boice and their children Jessica and Nicholas. There will be a memorial service in Raymond’s honor held at 11 a.m., Thursday Dec. 4, 2008 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 350 SW 150 Highway, Lee’s Summit, MO 64082.
