Robert (Bob) Blackmon, 59, Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away December 7, 2021 at his home. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Glenwild Cemetery in Cleveland, Missouri. Bob was born March 28, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri to Frank and Martha Blackmon. Bob ‘s final resting place will be next to his parents, which he loved dearly.
Bob joined the National Guard in the late 1970’s, After his time in the military he began working in the construction field, mainly focusing on asphalt work. He was also a racecar driver and enjoyed working on cars. Bob enjoyed fishing, bowling and camping.
Bob is survived by brother Daniel Blackmon of Thornfield, Missouri, his 4 daughters; Teresa (Michael) Rauch of Peculiar, Missouri, Michelle (David) Hudson of Kearney, Missouri, Melissa Blackmon of Raytown, Missouri and Lindsey Blackmon of Blue Springs, Missouri. He leaves behind 9 grandchildren that he loved dearly; Chase Blackmon, Beyonca Wilmesherr, Keegan Hall, Xavier Wilmesherr, Bridget Rauch, Madison Carney, Leland Wilmesherr, Beau Rauch and Aria Tovar.
Bob was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

God take the best .God wrap his arm around Bob he saw Bob was suffering and decide to take him home to his mom and dad .
Dad I’ll never forget the good times we had like karaoke in the truck..we had lots of time together scrapping hauling wood ? splitting it and stacking it. And I remember you telling me you named me Melissa because it meant the ? honeybee. I miss u already but now you can breathe and see gma gpa.. til I see u again rip love always Missy
Ive known Bob since he came to work for my dad in 1986. Bob could do anything . Drive any truck and operate any piece of equipment . He could fix anything …except himself i guess. Bob had alot of power in his prime , nobody could whip him , nobody could out drive him or work harder or out drink him. He would do anything for ya if you asked . Im gonna miss him alot . He was my buddy for a long time .

I was truly blessed to have a true brother from another mother. Bob was such a blessing to my family. Bob was so funny, friendly, loving, had a heart of gold. He loved my cooking and spending holidays with my family. I’m thankful we were able to have this last Thanksgiving together. I’m truly thankful for his friendship and love. I miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and all those who loved him. Forever with the Father. Until we meet again. Your lil Sis
Rest in peace Bob we did have some good times all the races we went to back in the days and hanging out with your family and how they just loved my son (Gregory) you was like uncle to him and you will be missed my prayers go out to you Girls and all your loved ones may God be with all.
