Robert L. Elkins “Bob”

Robert L. Elkins, know to many as Bob, age 80, of Raytown, MO passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at his home in Raytown.  He was born February 25, 1933 in Green Ridge, MO to the late Forest and Ethel Elkins.  Bob retired from Independent  Electric Machinery Company after many dedicated years.  He was a member of the Raytown Masonic Lodge #391 and a past patron of the Raytown Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #97.  Over the past few years, Bob has enjoyed growing produce and meeting the community as he sold his fresh fruits and vegetables from his home.  He loved spending time with his family, especially the time he shared with his grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.  Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Ethel Elkins; his three brothers, Howard, Forest, Jr., and Jim; and his two sisters, Marjorie and Jenny.  He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Randy Day; three grandchildren, Michael, Angelia and Kay; and six great-grandchildren, Dayton, Ethan, Jacob, Nathan, Megan and Dahrma.  Interment will be held at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia, MO.
