Robert Lee Higginbotham, age 72 1/2 of La Cygne, KS (formerly of Oldfield, MO) passed away peacefully at home on February 6th after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was a retired truck driver from Churchill Truck Lines. He also worked at Vendo, Southwest Grease and Oil, and Wylie Tool Company.
He loved fishing, remodeling old houses, woodworking, automotive repair, and was an avid collector of country music. He spent as much time as he could outdoors with his faithful dog, Ruby and his cat Lisa at his side.
Robert is preceded in dath by his parents, Earl William Higginbotham and Julia Daisy (Merritt) Higginbotham. He is survived by his children, Earl W. Higginbothamof Kansas City, KS and Bobbie Utterback and husband Dale of La Cygne, KS; granddaughters, Heather N. Allen and Alana R. Utterback; and one great granddaughter, Michaela E. Watson.
He also leaves his ex-wife, Gloria J. (Crumby) Higginbotham of Kansas City, KS; and siblings, Doris McLaughlin of Deepwater, MO, Almeda Hodges of Shawnee, KS and Don Higginbotham of Colorado.
