Robert Dean Roberts, 57, of Columbia died Monday, August 11, 2013 at his home. Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 16, 2013 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 616 Jackson St., Columbia, MO 65203 with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Survivors include his sisters Carylon Schafer and Linda Roberts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NHRA racing. Robert is preceded in death by his wife Cherie and a daughter, Christina.

My sympathy to Rob’s sisters and family. I knew Rob for some years, both as a co-worker at Tribune Publishing, and by working at Walmart in the sporting goods area. I usually would see Rob every Saturday morning, and he always came by sporting goods to buy licenses, chat a few moments and then continue shopping. I am so very sorry about his passing. He was a friendly co-worker and a nice man. My prayers to him and his family.
Rob I’m calling HR, we both know those damn sandals are not OSHA approved. Take his hand and rest easy brother, he will take care of you.
