Robert Warren Taylor, 53, was born in St Petersburg, Fl to Jacqueline L. and Glenn E. Taylor. He passed away at KU Medical Center on May 17, 2022. He was a member of the Braymer Christian Church. He graduated from Braymer High School in 1987 after which he enlisted in the Army. He served his country in Desert Storm, for which he received two Bronze Stars. He later became a Police Officer, Bartender and CAD-3 Operator. After graduating from Indiana State University Purdue, he worked for Renown Medical Center, in Reno NV, as a BioMedical Technician. It was there he loved to camp, hike, fish and snowshoe in the beautiful mountains, lakes and deserts of Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas.

Robert is survived by his parents; 4 brothers – Robert Field (Tricia), Noblesville IN; Richard Taylor (Tammy), Noblesville IN; Roger Taylor, St. Joseph, MO and Seth Taylor (Dione), BeechGrove IN. 2 Sisters – Lisa Kramer (Brad), Lenexa KS and Noel Cross (Ellis), St. Joseph, MO. 9 nieces, 7 nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, May 27 at Sunset Hills Christian Church, 6347 Leavenworth Rd. Kansas City KS. Visitation will be at 6:30pm with services to follow at 7:30pm. Family has requested Church Attire to be worn to the service. A private burial will be at a later date.

    I am sorry to hear about Robert. He worked for my architectural firm in KC for a number of years. He and I talked often about his time in Desert Storm, although I did not serve in the military the Department of Veterans Affairs was one of our largest clients. He was proud that we were in some way helping the veterans through our work.
    I’m glad he spent the time in Nevada, as it sounds like he enjoyed it. God speed Robert!

    Aunt Jackie and family,

    I was heartbroken to hear of cousin Robert’s passing. I had no idea he was so sick. I know we didn’t spend much time together but when we met up at my folks or on line it was always laughing and jokes. He is still so precious to me and my family. I’ll be with you all in prayer on Friday.

    I wish I were there. ? I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve picked up my phone wanting to text or call him this past week. To Robert’s Family: Although I have not met the majority of you (other than the Beech Grove bunch), I can tell you, he was SO proud to call you his family. He always talked about you and his trips to go back home. You guys sound like an awesome bunch and I am so very sorry for your loss. I miss my friend. I know you miss your son, brother, uncle, cousin, and whatever else Robert may have been to you. To us all, I do know he was a kind, intelligent, and humorous man, and is now living eternal in God’s love and without pain. Until we meet again, “Rob,” allow me to share my favorite Irish blessing:
