Ron “Shorty” Current

Shorty Current, 71, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at home surrounded by his loving family. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Sturgeon Christian Church with the Rev. Bob Flanagan officiating. Shorty is survived by his loving wife Sandy, two daughters Michelle McReynolds of Clark and Tracy Overfelt of Sturgeon as well as six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Eric Current as well as one brother and one grandchild. Memorials are suggested to Coyote Hill Children’s Home, 9501 Coyote Hill Road, Harrisburg, MO 65256.

    Sandy and family, I am so sorry to hear of Shorty’s passing..I have fond memories of the time I spent with the two of you. I remember Shorty trying to teach me to tie fishing flies..silly to remember something so small..but he was so patient. I’m sure he was a great father. I’m sure Cleo and Eric met him on the other side and are smiling down on you all. Again..I am truly sorry for your loss.
