Rosaline (Rosie) Williams, born February 10, 1939, passed away peacefully June 29, 2023 with her cherished daughter Terri, and her granddaughter Amber at her side. Rosie was born in the no longer existing, Munjor, KS to Joseph and Agnes Gross. After completing the 8th grade, Rosie started working. In her prime working years, she worked for United Telephone in Dodge City, KS where she met and retained several dear to her heart friendships over her lifetime. Rosie was loved by many, including her husband of 49 years, Jack Williams. Jack preceded Rosie in death, but there was not a day that went by that she did not talk about him and their time together. Rosie loved sports, including the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, Kansas State Wildcats, and loved watching Nascar especially when her and Jack could watch together with one of their evening “energy drinks”. After retirement they moved to Liberal Ks where they were adopted by great friends Ruth and Bill. Rosie spent most of her retirement at the Lake of the Ozarks where she enjoyed watching her great granddaughter grow and make memories. Emma brought so much joy to her great grandma over the 9 years that they spent together. Rosie is survived by her loving daughter Terri (Mitch), her son Dennis, grandson Timmy, granddaughter Amber, great grandchildren Emma & Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her granddaughter Nichole. Rosie will be missed dearly by all that knew her infections laugh, her witty comebacks, and her love for her family. The family would like to thank the staff at Aberdeen Village who made her last months loving and comfortable. Per Rosie’s wishes there will be no service.
Donations maybe made to Employee Scholarship Program checks payable to Presbyterian Manor Inc. Please forward to Terri (14812 W 117th ST, Olathe KS 66062) and she will deliver to Aberdeen Village in the honor of Rosie.
What a beautifully written obituary for Rosie. She was truly a very special lady with such a strong bond with the people she loved! She will be missed but not forgotten and she will be with you always! She is breathing easily now and her only burden is seeing her loved ones suffer the pain of missing her. Smile as you think of her often, feel her presence warming your heart & raise your glass in a Cheers to Rosie for all of the love and wisdom that she left with you.
Much love ?? to your family!
