Samuel Philip Murillo Sr., age 65, born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 surrounded by family.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 11, 2023 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO. Visitation will be Monday, September 11, 2023 10:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence, MO.
Sam loved to spend time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by parents, John Murillo Sr and Adelita “Lilly” Murillo, great-grandson, Ileano Valencia, and niece, Rosa M. Gonzalez.
He is survived by children, Monica Arens, Adelita Murillo, Venessa Alaniz, Felicitas Murillo, Elizabeth Murillo, and Samuel Murillo, Jr, grandkids, Alexis, Alejandro, Javier, Joaquin, Maricia, Mercedes, Monisa, Jesus, Mateo, Jocelyn, Michaela, Vincent III, Patricia, Felipe, Fransisco, Daniela, Elecio Jr, Corey, Carmelo, Zavier, and Jaden, great-grandkids, Sayd Jr, Erik, Cesar, Maricio, Benny, Anabella, Ari’ella, siblings, Rachel, Ruben, John Jr, Theresa, Pastor William, Jesus, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Pallbearers: Michael Gonzalez, Alejandro Hernandez, Elecio Olvera Jr, Corey Olvera, Jesus Cobos-Murillo, Zavier Murillo, Vincent Alaniz III, and Jacob Mendoza.
The family thanks you for your continued thoughts and prayers.

Sam was one of my 1st friends. We went to Henry Clay Grade School and played baseball together on a couple teams.
We lost touch with each other for awhile but later reconnected and a lot of great times together. Rest in Peace My Friend.
