Sandra (Sandy) Cox-Esmahan, aged 84, passed away peacefully in Kansas City, MO with close family by her side on July 31, 2024. Born on June 25, 1940, in St. Louis, MO, Sandy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity.
Sandy co-owned and operated Complete Business Services in Kansas City, MO with her son Mark for 37 years, a testament to her dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. Her favorite moments were spent sitting ankle deep in the Huzzah Creek, where she cherished time with her family. Sandy was the heart of her family, hosting large gatherings for every holiday and creating cherished traditions that her children and grandchildren carried forward in their own families.
Sandy is preceded in death by her ex-husband, David Cox; her father, Leonard Spencer; her mother, Marie Spencer (née Saul); and her brother, Terry Spencer (Karen).
Sandy is survived by her husband, Sabri Esmahan; her children Jeffrey Cox (Michelle), Mark Cox (Dana), Michelle Barr (née Cox) (Tim), and Renee Dorman (née Cox) (Charlie); her stepchildren Robert (Shelley) and Michael Esmahan; and a large, loving family that includes 9 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 9 step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and chosen family.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Sandy’s honor at the Belvoir Winery in Liberty, Missouri, on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. All who knew her are invited to join in remembering her remarkable life and the joy she brought to everyone around her.

I’m so sorry for the family for their loss. Sandy was such a beautiful soul inside and out and she loved her family so much. It is heartbreaking for such a loss in her family.
