I thank Jennifer for bringing you into our lives. Of course, you two always were a package deal. 🙂 And even though you were a more recent addition to our family, we will feel your absence always. I will miss your humor, honesty, and most of all your love. You are forever in our hearts, Shirley.

I had the pleasure of working with Shirley for several years in Arizona and she leaves many friends here. I agree with Cheryl B. that “she was loved by all who knew her” and she will be missed by her extended family of friends. Best wishes to Jennifer, Doug, and Audrey.

R.I.P. Shirley. I had the honor of working with Shirley at the Arizona Department of Financial Institutions eight years. She was the most honest and dedicated examiner I have known and was even well liked by the bankers she supervised. God bless to Jennifer, Doug and Audrey.

I was saddened to hear that Shirley finally lost her battle with cancer. But, I will always remember the fun times that we had while working together in Arizona. Shirley always had a smile on her face, and blushed easily. I guess that kind of innocence is what truly made her special. She will truly be missed.

Eternal rest grant unto Shirley, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

How does one express in words the loss felt? For our family Shirley excelled as a sister-in-law, a friend, an aunt, and a loving caring person to everyone she had contact with. She always considered everyone else before herself. We love you and will miss you deeply but know you are reunited with relatives and friends that passed before you.

How can I express the loss that I feel in my heart from a true great friend. Shirley was the best friend anyone could have. Jennifer, Doug, and Audrey, I am so sorry that she was taken so early in life. It was hard when she moved to MO, but she was exactly where she wanted to be. She couldn’t wait to be there and enjoy each and everyone of you. In the difficult days ahead, remember all the good times and the precious moments that you shared. Her journey is over and now she is in a much better place. You now have an angel looking over you. May God bless you and your family.

I am so sad to have lost my wonderful and special friend. The world has lost one its best, but Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. Jennifer, Doug, and Audrey — she loved you so very much and I thank God that Shirley was able to retire and move to Missouri so she could spend some great years with you. My love and prayers are with you. Shirley, I love you and miss you. Rest in peace.

Dear Jennifer, I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a great lady and a good friend – especially to my husband, Jack, who worked with her for many years at the Banking Dept.

  22. Jay Giovacchini on August 22, 2011 at 2:29 am

Jennifer and Doug, Shirley was one of the best people god has ever put on this earth. While we did work together, we were great friends as well, and I will miss her smile and the way she touched each and every person who she ever came into contact with. Our loss is really not a loss, but rather a wonderful memory that we will all cherish forever.

Jennifer:Our phone chat today meant ever so much to me. Shirley was a darlin’ girl. Didn’t meet Shirley until she was a grown woman, but I’ve known her all her life.Shirley was the apple of her Aunt Loraine & “Uncle Father”(Jack)
eyes. Her sweet Spirit lives on and I believe she visits when least expected. (it’s a warm feeling that comes over us & then it gone til next time). love her always Aldy
