On February 18, 2022, at the age of 53, Stephanie J. (Potter) Mitchell passed away to join her heavenly father after a valiant struggle with Covid. She was proceeded in death by her father, Dr. Stanley A. Potter, maternal grandparents, Tom and Vera Arnold, and her uncle, Dean A. Arnold.
Stephanie is survived by her mother, Karen J. Potter, Galena, Missouri, and daughters, Ty-onna Veasley, and Dereka Mitchell, and granddaughter Nylah Mielle Veasley, of Kansas City, Missouri, her brother, Todd Alan Potter, Ozark, Missouri, and aunt, Sharon Salmons of Galena, Missouri.
Stephanie grew up in Camdenton and Ellington Missouri and graduated from Ellington High School. As a child she befriended everyone with her beautiful smile and warm hugs. Stephanie spent many hours writing, drawing and doing crafts. She also enjoyed music and loved spending time with her daughters.
Final arrangements were provided by Heartland Cremation and Burial of Raytown Missouri. No services are planned. A balloon release in her memory will be held at a later date.
