A Tribute to Timothy Gray Butler
Tim Butler was the fourth son born to Walter (“Buck”) and Ellen Gray Butler. Four additional children came after Tim. Being part of a crowd like that, you’d have to do something to be noticed! Fortunately for Tim, he was cute, with long eyelashes and an engaging grin. Tim attended St. Pius the X High School where he played bass guitar in a “garage band”. “Wild Thing” (by The Troggs) was the favorite of the band. Tim graduated from Oak Park High School in 1969. While in school, Tim liked to go deer hunting with his brothers, but he particularly enjoyed fishing.
Timothy Gray Butler and Rose Angela Michalek were married 5 August 2000 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri. Tim and Angie were madly in love. He not only gained a beautiful wife but also a step daughter Megan who extended the family with a set of twin boys. Chase and Kolten were very special to their grandfather.
Preceding Tim in death are his parents and his brother, Tom.
Surviving siblings are John Butler, Jim Butler, Mary Mooney, Tony Butler, Pat Lucas and Kathy Goff.
The passing years have placed time and distance in our connectivity as a family, however, we have always known and will forever know- that we cherish and love each other.
Tim, you will be missed and you are loved forever.
The family of Timothy Butler invites friends and relatives to attend 5:00pm Mass, Saturday, December 19th at Holy Family Church, 919 Northeast 96th Street, Kansas City
Following the mass from 6:00pm-7:00pm, is a memorial gathering in the home of Tim and Angie Butler. Light refreshments will be served and a brief drop in will be appreciated. 10435 N. Forest, Kansas City.
Uncle Tim is such a gentleman and will always be remembered for his kindness, smile and respect. We are jolted by his swift return to a dear family and loving Heavenly Father.

Angie, I would choose to feel sympathy rather than to know the meaning of sorrow. You have our deepest sympathy.

I miss you Uncle Tim! I know you and Grandma, Grandpa and that goofy brother of yours are watching over us. I love you!
Angie, Joe and I want to let you know that we loved Tim and will miss him greatly. Sure he will be down here at the lake watching over Joe’s fishing techniques. We love you both.
Tim, you were my husband, my friend, my confident, my listener, and my fixer-upper. I will miss you dearly. I got the message about the couch! You will be in my heart always. xoxo A
Tim you had a good, kind and caring soul but a lot of secrets no one else knew about but me,
