Velma was such a delightful soul, full of life and love for others. She was a Early Education School Teacher in the Kansas City School District for many years. She had a love for being with her friends sunbathing in the Summer Days. She loved to dance and with that love of dance she won a contest when she was a young woman. She would dance to whatever song was playing. She was always a great listener to people and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She loved kids so very much, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing at the park, taking walks and playing games. She was very active and loved to walk outdoors and in the cold months she would walk the mall with her daughter. She had sweet tooth out of this world and loved to eat Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups anytime she could get her hands on them. She loved to bake all those sweet things too. She was a shopper and always dressed to the nine. These are all the things her family will remember her by and carry on for her many years come.

Our sincere condolences to Teresa and Velma’s whole family. We got to know Velma at TMC where she resided alongside my mother. She was happy and always glad to see her daughter. Tom even got her to dance with him one time. She was shy at first but once you gained her trust, she was a delight. Hugs!
