Victor was born in Kansas City, KS on March 22, 1957. He is preceded in death by: parents, Virgil D. Cecil, Sr and Evelyn Ruth Saunders Cecil; wife, Bonnie; brothers, Charles E. Cecil and his wife Deborah Cecil, Virgil D. Cecil, Jr, and Randy B. Cecil; sister, Kathryn E. Long and her husband, Carl Long.
He is survived by: sister, Bonne J. Archer of Paola, KS; brother, Allen W. Cecil of North Pole, AK; daughter, Shawna Cecil of Wichita, KS; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Vic grew up in Sunflower, KS, where his mother worked at Hercules Army Ammunition Plant and later moved to Desoto, KS. Victor loved camping, fishing, loud music, and a cold beer. He was our beloved brother and uncle. His unique personality and big heart will be greatly missed.
Vic always said that Heaven didn’t want him and the Devil was afraid he would take over. We are sure God will find him entertaining and interesting. There will be no service and his ashes will be divided between Paola, KS and Valdez, Ak where he caught his biggest fish ever.
I miss you so much Vic and it hasn’t even been a week. I love you so much brother. R.I.P Vic you deserve it.
Goodbye Victor. See you later. Fuck it. This planet was too small for you anyway. Too much was never enough, but your body disagreed. Save me a spot and we’ll talk then. We’ll pet Charlie, Jade, and Baby and plant flowers, play farkle, and do the things we did when we were happy together. Rest easy…see ya.
See you on the other side unc! I’ll keep my memories of you till the day we meet again

Its been two years and there is not a day that goes by that a song reminds me of you. I sorely miss you and wish I had one more day with you, one more fish to catch.
