Vivian LaVaun Young, 96, Overland Park, KS, passed away Monday, November 15th, 2021 after suffering from a fall. The graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 19th, at Memorial Park Cemetery on Hillcrest Rd in Kansas City, MO.
Vivian LaVaun was born April 5th, 1925 in Freeman, MO. She was married to Lyle C. Young on October 10th, 1944. They were life-long residents of the Raytown and Kansas City areas and were most fortunate to have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary prior to Lyle’s passing.
Vivian LaVaun is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Donna Young; two grandsons, Ryan and Tyler Young, one daughter-in-law Reina Young and friends and extended family. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband Lyle and one son, Don Alan Young.
In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions may be made to One Spirit United Methodist Church, 7900 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64138 in memory of Vivian LaVaun Young.
