William Andrew (Andy) Fredrickson, age 53, of Jackson, MO, died Thursday, December 11, 2025, in Columbia, MO. Andy was born in Elizabethtown, KY. He was medically retired from Procter & Gamble in 2023.
Andy was a 1990 graduate of Dougherty High School in Albany, GA. He earned an electrical and fiber optics certification from Albany Technical College in 2009. He managed a comic book shop and movie theatre, and did apartment maintenance in Albany, GA. He and Jamie met through mutual friends in 1997. In November 2000, the couple married. Their son was born in 2002. They struggled through the hard years together, continuing to grow and never giving up on each other. They moved to Missouri in 2015. They eventually both began working for P&G and found time to engage in more recreational activities. Andy loved to attend races, listen to 90s grunge music, and build Lego. In 2019, we began visiting parks managed by the National Park Service with the goal of visiting all 433. As of his passing they had visited 137 sites in the previous 6 years.
Andy was preceded in death by his mother, Christine Helen Withrow, Albany, GA, and his sister Chelsey Fredrickson, Bardstown, KY. He was the beloved husband of Jamie Snowden Fredrickson and father of Richard Tyler Fredrickson of Jackson, MO. He is survived by his father, William (Rynda) Fredrickson, Bardstown, KY, aunts Sue Fredrickson, Pleasant Hill, CA, and Peg (Dan) Ferrari, Kincaid, IL, and uncles James (Arlene) Mulligan, Elizabethtown, KY, and Ray (Geralyn) Mulligan, DeSoto, MO.
A family memorial will be held in the near future in Kentucky. A celebration of life visitation will be held at the Jackson Civic Center North Meeting Room, 381 E Deerwood Dr, Jackson, MO 63755.
