?William J. Ray, 88, of Grandview, MO passed away October 26, 2022 at Wilmington, NC from a stroke. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, November 4, 2022 at Forest Hills and Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
William was born January 31, 1934 in Kansas City, KS. He grew up in the Rosedale area of Kansas City, KS. William married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Loretta, October 1953. Throughout his life, he was a machinist, silversmith and business owner of Ozark Campfire Company making program aids for Boy Scouts and other youth groups. He was a loving husband, father and brother.
He was preceded in death by: wife, Loretta Ray.
Survivors include: daughter, Marla (Eric) Talley; sons, Alan (Patti) Ray, Scott (Marcia) Ray, Jeffery Ray and Bill Ray; one sister, Nancy (Chuck) Wise; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
