William L. Fleet

William Lockwood “Bill” Fleet (80) of Lee’s Summit, Mo passed away July 1, 2022. He was born June 1st, 1942, in Kansas City, Mo to James Ryland Fleet and Lutie Virginal Chorn Fleet. He Graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1961. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, Robert Ryland Fleet. He leaves behind his loving wife of 39, years Ronna Lee (Richter) Fleet. His son and daughter in law, Andrew Lee Brown and Jamie Marie Brown and grandsons, Avery James Brown and Austin Ryland Brown. He had many in-laws, nieces and a nephew who love and miss him.

After high school, Bill joined the United States Marine Corp. He worked for Jadlow Dental Lab as a lab technician, until he retired. Bill was an avid outdoors man. He loved to hunt, fish and camp. Bill and Ronna loved to lake canoe. He was also a championship archer in the Bowhunter pin site category. Ronna and Bill traveled all over the United States to various archery tournaments. What great fun they had. Ronna enjoyed being involved in Bill’s archery tournaments, they met a lot of great people, and many are still friends today.

We pray that his eternal soul resides with relatives and friends who have gone before him and with Christ our Lord.

Services for William will be Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society (6113 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, MO 64133).

A social gathering will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. William’s memorial service will follow starting at 3:00 PM.
