William Nugent, 99, Independence, Missouri passed away January 7, 2022.  A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 AM to Noon on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Heartland, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Missouri 64133. Burial and military honors will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64138.

William was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Willard and Vernon (Pyland) Nugent on March 10, 1922. He joined the United States Marine Corps and retired after 22 years of dutiful service. Following his time in the military he attended Cleveland Chiropractic School and worked as a chiropractor in Raytown for 35 years before his retirement. He was a proud man and always accomplished things he set his mind to.
