Zachary “Zakk” Edward Stoltz, 29, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on October 26, 2025. He was born in Independence, Missouri, and raised in Belton, Missouri, where he built a life filled with music, laughter, and love.
Zakk was known for his incredible talent and passion for writing music, playing guitar, and singing songs that touched hearts. Those who knew him will remember his infectious laugh and the joy he found in making memories—especially while joking and laughing endlessly with his sister, Hannah.
Above all, Zakk was a devoted father to his two beloved sons, Emory Jason Edward Stoltz (4) and Tobias Dwayne Vestal (5), who were his greatest source of pride and joy. His love for them was evident in every melody he played and every story he told.
He is also survived by his fiancée, Aubrie Brewer; his sister, Hannah Jo Vaughn-Horton; his mother, Kari Lubbock; his maternal grandparents, Mark and June Dickerson; and paternal grandfather, Edward Stoltz—along with many cousins, family members, and friends who loved him deeply. His father, Jason Edward Stoltz, proceeds him in death.
Zakk’s life reminds us that love, laughter, and music live on forever in the hearts of those who remain. As he once believed, “Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, it’s not the end.”
A celebration of Zakk’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at LifeQuest Church in Belton, Missouri. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a service at 12:00 p.m.
