Stephanie Steury, age 69, of Raytown, MO passed away on 6/13/24 at Truman Medical Center (University Health downtown) from Endocarditis (Staph infection of the heart). Visitation will be 1:30 pm on 6/27/24, with services right after at 3:00pm at St Mark’s Catholic church at 3736 S Lee’s Summit Road in Independence, MO 64055. Stephanie was born 2/25/55 in Kansas City MO.

She spent her whole life in the Raytown area. She worked 8 years in the Flower business at Coach Lamp Florist and 20 years in BookStore/Accounting/Management in the Community Colleges at Longview, Penn Valley, Johnson County, as well as DeVry College.

She was preceded in death by her father Paul Turnbow, and mother Patricia Turnbow as well as grandparents.

Survivors include; Husband – Harold, son – Adam (Angela) daughter – Bethany, sisters Alexa Turnbow-Barton, Alison Steffen (Mike), and brother Kristofer Turnbow (Vicki). Grandchildren Willow Steury, Kylea Martinez, Tori Cavasos, Britney Cavosos, Kierstyn Cavasos. Loving Nieces & Nephews. Brother In Law Donald (Marylin), Thomas (Faith), Sister-in-law Jane.

Flowers are certainly welcome but if you wish, please make contributions to the American Heart Association and/or American Cancer Society.

    It still doesn’t seem real. Looking for pictures has brought back some great memories. Stephanie had an eye for flowers and her creativity was amazing. She will be missed. We love you all, Kris and Vicki 💙❤️

We know that family is so important to Alexa and the loss of her sister is devastating. However, we know the presence of her family during this ordeal has meant the world to her.

    I just found this today.
    I worked with her at Devry.
    We were the.mangment team and spent a lot of time together.

    When I transferred out, Stephanie took over and was terrific.

    She taught me a lot about life and the importance of never giving up.

    She was a jewel.
