On the behalf of my family and the members of the Church Of God (Holiness) Baugher’s Bay, Tortola B.V. I., I hereby express our heartfelt condolence to our beloved sister Linda Hayton and family. We have lots of treasured memories of Rev. William Hayton who served our church during his missionary years in the Virgin Islands. He was sincerely loved and respected by the late Pastor Mckenzie Maduro and the members of our church. My heart was greatly touched by Rev. Hayton when he challenged us to be missionaries to our brethren in Jamaica during a Convention held at the Church of God(Holiness) East End, Tortola in 1996. My wife and I answered the call and went to Jamaica for two Months in 1997. Rev. Hayton extended opportunities for me to preach during the World Missions Service in General Camp. I was blessed to go on a missionary tour with him in the year 2000. This tour included kansas City, Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Rev. Hayton and hus family left a mark on me that cannot be erased. The blessed memiries of his ministerial legacy will live on in our hearts. May God fill the hearts of his dear family and friends with consolation and hope through His Holy Spirit and Word. Our orayers are with you.
Such a great man, has done so much for God and Missions! Prayers for the family
Pastor Hayton was a great man of faith and rendered pious service . He had a passion for missions which included , but was not limited to the Caribbean.
Further, he was an exemplary Church of God (HOLINESS) member who was genuine ,loyal, amicable, honest, reliable and was an intelligent individual.
Pastor Hayton was kind , loving, compassionate, and considerate about the welfare and wellbeing of others .
His modus operandi was holiness and as a result, he preached the unadulterated Word of God . History will be kind to him , as he has left a commendable legacy , which is reflective of the ‘light of the world and the salt of the earth’. Indeed, he ran a great race and fought an excellent fight and a crown of righteousness is undoubtedly his.
